What are your strengths that you can share with the world?
When I felt fear creep in after thinking of everything happening in our country, I read this quote from Dr. Lily Choi and remembered that this is the best time of year to bring our gifts forward. This redirects my fear from paralysis to the right action.
The springtime wood season is when the energy (chi) of the liver and gallbladder is the strongest, which makes it the easiest time to utilize this energy.
The liver chi provides us with a vision to move forward with inspiration, and the gallbladder helps us by leading us into the right action with solid decision-making.
The energy flow of the liver and gallbladder needs to be balanced to benefit from these positive qualities. Otherwise, we may experience the anger and frustration that imbalanced liver chi expresses or confusion and poor decision-making from stagnant gallbladder chi. It's essential to bring our energy into a balanced flow, as it's easy to fall prey to fear and confusion.
Specific yoga poses and chi gong sets help regulate the energy. The ancient chi gong technique of breathing through the meridians, known as Yi Qi Li, guides energy with consciousness while stimulating the meridians that the energy runs through.
While holding these poses, which stretch and pressurize the fascia that the meridians run through, focus the mind on visualizing a golden thread of light that moves with your breath. This profoundly affects our energy and creates a calm, meditative mind.
Ardha Chandrasna

Exhale down the Gallbladder Meridian
Parsvakonasana: Extended Side Angle

Now, more than ever, we need to regulate our energy to soothe our nervous system. In doing so, we can benefit others by being purposeful with our strengths and inspirations, sharing them with the world.
It's a win-win.
From my heart to yours~
Namaste,
Maggie
