How You Can Shift From Pain To Relief

The change of seasons is exciting, most of us are relieved that winter is over and are thrilled about spring, I know I am!

And... it’s important to understand the energies of each season and be able to observe if we are out of balance.

Balanced energy = health and well-being

Imbalanced energy = dis-ease

According to traditional Chinese medicine, the five elemental paradigm we work with in the Meridian Flow practice relates to how the sun is positioned to the earth. This isn’t as far out as it sounds. The sun is our main source of energy. We are subject to the sun’s energy and feel it differently in each season.

We can feel this when the energy starts to wane in the fall compared to when the energy starts to rise and sprout in the spring. We are affected by these energies, and each season directly affects the energy that runs through our organs.

Energy is based on frequency and vibration. We know this when we walk into a room and feel that someone is angry. We can sense when the frequency of the energy is charged. The same goes when we are around someone who is very calm. We, too, feel calm around them.

Therefore, the frequency of the energy of each season has a different charge. Each season’s energy relates to the frequency held in a specific pair of organs. The spring Qi relates to our liver and gallbladder.

The spring’s energy is uplifting and inspiring, which relates to the wood element. All animated living beings are in the wood element, from plants to insects, animals, and humans. In the spring, the natural world is starting to wake up and sprout.

When observing sprouting energy, it often requires some force and aggression to transform from a seed to a sprout rising upward. This aggression can often appear as frustration or anger, which is the energy held in our liver and gallbladder.

When the energy of the liver is running efficiently, we experience the virtue of knowing the right action to take as we sprout our new ideas. We maintain a calm, easy-going disposition and are inspired. The gallbladder’s energy compliments the liver inspired Qi to make good decisions and put ideas into purposeful action.

This weekend is our Spring Wellness Weekend which will include 2 workshops on Saturday to invigorate liver and gallbladder Qi so we benefit from inspiration and clear decision-making, (with a delicious vegan lunch included!).

Sunday will also include 2 workshops to finish your weekend in a soothing gentle way with yin yoga, meditations, chanting, and yoga nidra (aka guided yoga sleep).

You’ll leave feeling so calm yet inspired and connected to a community of like-minded people.

We are ultimately responsible for our own healing.

The Meridian Flow practice transcends chronic pain, anxiety, and autoimmune issues naturally.

From my heart light to yours~

Namaste,

Maggie
