”This teacher training has been completely life-changing for me. Coming into this I thought I would just be learning how to teach others and maybe get into better shape but I had no idea how much of an impact this training would really have on my life. I feel as though the light within me has been awoken and hopefully, I will be able to take this light that I’ve been given and shed it on others.”

Dive deeper into this ancient profound practice that has you coming back for more.

Your yoga practice provides you with more than you came for.

That’s the experience most of us have when starting yoga. Not only do we feel relief from the chronic pain, stress, and anxiety we originally came for, but there’s an awareness that’s awoken in us that makes us happier, kinder, and more peaceful.

Yoga opens the doors to the mind to give you greater insight, understanding, and relief.

You start to realize how much the body, mind, and spirit are all intrinsically connected. It makes you want to dive deeper and learn more about this ancient profound practice that is only briefly mentioned in yoga classes.

This 200-hour teacher training gives you the tools to not only deepen your own practice but to confidently share it with others.

Establish a daily discipline

Did you know that discipline = happiness?

It’s true and proven research that the more disciplined we are, the happier and more productive we become.

This daily discipline will make you feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually connected.

And with an established daily discipline, you create a lifestyle for your future. Here’s what that looks like:

  • A daily yoga practice that will get you in great shape. You’ll become stronger, more flexible, calmer, and more effective in everything that you do.

  • Learn how to meditate with the given breathwork and focus concentration techniques. Our students remark how they find themselves becoming calmer, more open, and peaceful and actually enjoy meditating, which they previously thought was impossible.

  • Stream of conscious journaling- to clear pent-up emotions and tap into clarity and wisdom. (this is one of the biggest game changers for our students!)

We’ve had many students who have families and careers come through the training and remarked how it’s made them more patient, more productive, and calmer once they’ve established the daily rhythm of these practices.

Imagine what life would look like…

Imagine if you had a daily meditation and yoga practice. What would your life look like? How much would your life improve?

Imagine if you had the skills to share these practices with others so they could also benefit and find relief.

Imagine being an inspiration to others, that just by your calm centered energy, others want to have what you do!

This is what happens. Others start to notice that you’re lighter and freer and have more energy to do what you’re doing.

This training will provide you with the tools and confidence to share yoga and meditation with anyone in your life who could benefit, from children to the elderly and disabled, you’ll learn ways to help them all.

Being of service to others brings us deep fulfillment.

Not only do we feel great with our daily practice, but helping others relieve their physical and emotional pain is a noble act that’s worthy of pursuing!

Vitality Yoga’s 200-Hour Teacher Training Curriculum

This is the beginning of an era of yoga being mainstream, and you’ll be on the crest of the wave to teach this healing practice to those in your life who are suffering and require relief.

This training will guide you through the following:

  • 7 Chakras: Throughout the course, you’ll learn, explore and manifest your life’s calling through the map of your chakras, the 7 energy centers that reside within your being. Each of the first 7 weekends will be dedicated to a chakra that you’ll learn an entire yoga sequence for, meditations, and breathwork to align this energy vortex. The chakra work has a profound effect on your ability to put your goals and dreams into action.

  • Anatomy: You’ll learn the physical anatomy surrounding each chakra through yoga sequences, discussion of the anatomy, reading and studying, and anatomy artwork (no artistry experience needed!). This training is designed with a multi-faceted way of learning to adhere to the many different learning styles, so it becomes accessible for everyone.

  • Philosophy: The ancient text of the Bhagavad Gita is woven throughout the training, as you will explore the teachings of this profound poem and how it relates to your own personal life.  This study has been mind-blowing to many students, as this ancient spiritual text is timeless and so relevant to our personal lives.

  • Yamas and Niyamas: The second half of the training focuses on the first 2 limbs of the eightfold path of yoga, known as the Yamas and Niyamas. According to yoga philosophy in the Yoga Sutras, these are the observances and restraints to adhere to a well-balanced life.

  • Discussion and Exploration: Not only do we study and learn about these ancient teachings of the chakras, Bhagavad Gita and Yamas, and Niyamas, but we journal, share, explore, play with, and apply these principles in our lives, which creates emotional FREEDOM!

  • Teaching Methodology: From the beginning of the training you will learn how to use your voice to guide sun salutations, meditations, and breathing techniques. You’ll be supported through the entire 5-month journey, with a community of other yogis, to learn how to teach yoga, meditation, and breathwork in a confident clear way.

  • Teaching authentically: The amount of awareness gained by applying these teachings to our current lives is astounding and surprising!  When we can apply these ancient philosophies to our everyday life, the teachings then have relevance, rather than just a lofty text that’s hard to wrap your mind around.

Get in the driver’s seat of your life

When we commit ourselves to a transformational journey, it puts us in the driver's seat of our lives.

We are no longer the victim of our circumstances of being in a life we aren’t aligned with, or unfulfilled in our jobs and relationships.

There’s a new spark that’s ignited that clears out what doesn’t serve us and brings into focus how we want to grow and become. And what we focus on grows.

When we change, the whole dynamic of our lives and relationships change.

With the new-found energy and clarity that the daily practices and the teachings provide, you will have more calm and focused attention to what really matters. You’ll be transforming with a community of yogis that are all growing together, which is so inspiring and supportive.

A graduate student who took the 200-hour training commented, “The more yoga I do, the more time I have!”

And this couldn’t be more accurate!

When we are calm and centered, and not draining our energy with anxiety or chronic pain, we have more energy and space to be inspired and productive in a relaxed way.

Who is this 200-hour teacher training for?

This training is suitable for anyone who wants to deepen their practice.

Beginners to advanced yogis have taken this training and have expanded their emotional awareness, established meditation practice, and learned new poses and sequences and how to share them with others!

Our student's age range is from 21-75 and they’re all able to find places to share this practice.

Doctors, nurses, teachers, social workers, therapists, musicians, lawyers, and college students have all graduated from our 200-hour teacher training and have shared these practices with their patients, clients, and students.

An elementary school teacher saw the difference in her second graders when she would teach them how to breathe deeply using a counted abdominal breath. She reported how they went from being hyper and unruly, to calm and focused and greatly improved in retaining what they learned.

A nurse would apply the breathing techniques and simple arm movements that she learned in the training to her bedridden patients after their surgery. She noted how they went from being depressed and anxious to calmer and brighter. They were so grateful to breathe deeply and move again, they wanted to continue yoga as a way to rehabilitate.

A recent 70-year-old student was in a car accident years ago that put her into a coma, and when she regained consciousness she had to teach herself how to walk and talk again.  She has limited movement but learned to modify and has now graduated from both the 200 and 300-hour teacher training and is helping others who have had to rehabilitate through yoga.

FAQs

  • The most common issue that prevents us from diving into this transformational experience is that there isn’t enough time in our lives to dedicate to yoga teacher training.

There’s a phrase that speaks to this: “The busier you are, the more you get done.”

And there’s a lot of truth to this, as we have to organize ourselves to create space that tends to our well-being. This creates momentum that sustains and builds confidence in everything that we do.

Students can expect to set aside approximately an hour +/- per day to establish their home practice of journaling, meditation, yoga, and reading.

  • A common misbelief is that you don’t feel like your yoga practice is advanced enough to take a yoga teacher training.

From relative beginners to advanced practitioners join the teacher training.

Recommended minimum of 6 months of yoga prior to the training.

  • The 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training payment plans can be found here.

Scholarships are available to those working with underserved populations. Email Maggie if you’d like to apply for a scholarship.
