A unique approach to yoga

Vitality Yoga’s 200-hour Teacher Training offers a unique approach to yoga instruction. We teach an alignment-based Vinyasa style of yoga that focuses on the breath and precise alignment in each pose.

What our students are saying:

  • The format of this training works physically, learning yoga sequences and poses, energetically, through the map of the chakras, and spiritually as we dive into the ancient yogic texts of the Bhagadvad Gita and the Yoga Sutras. We will explore how these profound teachings relate to our current lives.

  • We will follow the map of the Chakras, known as our energy centers. Throughout the training, we explore these energy centers emotionally and physically through meditations, as well as the physical practice that relates to each chakra. Often times we find imbalances in our chakras that can be brought back into balance by different exercises and journaling prompts.

  • The anatomy will be taught in order of the chakras, creating a cohesive understanding each week, learning anatomy in our physical practice, studying it in a group and creating illustrations. These different ways of learning adhere to many different learning styles.

  • From the very first week, you will learn how to use your voice to practice teaching simple sun salutations. Each week you will continue learning to teach by creating sequences that use a tried and true format that designs a well-balanced class that can be suitable to all levels. You will finish the training as a confident teacher ready to share this practice with others and be certified with the Yoga Alliance.

  • Whether or not you want to become a yoga teacher, this training will be a life changer as you will expand your self-knowledge and awareness, which will make you calm and grounded. You'll get in great shape and become more flexible and stronger in both your body and mind. One of the aspects of this training is the focus on your life's purpose, known in the Bhagavad Gita as 'dharma', which will move you into a confident, courageous mindset to step into an inspiring and fulfilling life.
